To advance to the championship game, Ogasawara won 5-3 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Nagano, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2014 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 8-7 over EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Ogasawara finished 4-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogasawara lost 7-6 to Sweeting, then responded with a 4-3 win over Sarah Wark (Victoria, BC). Ogasawara won 5-3 against Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS), then won 7-4 against Dailene Sivertson (Victoria , BC) and 8-4 against Stephanie Prinse (Chilliwack, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic Championship title, Ogasawara earned 16.100 world rankings points along with the $7,900CDN first prize cheque, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 20th place overall with 35.376 total points. Ogasawara ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.100 points earned so far this season.
