To advance to the championship game, Brewster won 5-3 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2014 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 6-5 over Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland;
 
Brewster finished 5-1 in the 40-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Switzerland's Manuel Ruch 4-2, then won 7-3 against Sebastian Wunderer (Vienna, AUT). Brewster went on to lose 4-2 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Brewster responded with a 8-4 win over Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER). Brewster won 8-5 against Andy Kapp (Fuessen, GER), then won 6-4 against David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Swiss Cup Basel Championship title, Brewster earned 23.520 world rankings points along with the $16,281CDN first prize cheque, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 23rd place overall with 55.511 total points. Brewster ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.520 points earned so far this season.
