In their opening game, Chester lost 7-5 to Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 5-3 win over Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Chester won 10-7 against Catlin Schneider (Regina, SK). Chester went on to lose 11-10 against Kyle Doering (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
