Edin finished 8-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN) 6-5, then went on to lose 11-5 against Joel Retornaz (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Edin lost 9-6 to Pat Simmons (Calgary, CAN) where Edin responded with a 9-3 win over Evgeniy Arkhipov (Moscow, RUS). Edin went on to lose 6-5 against Ulsrud. Edin responded with a 7-3 win over Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Edin won 8-2 against Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI), then won 11-6 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA) and 9-2 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Edin won 7-6 against Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN), then won 11-6 against Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Men's Curling Championship Championship title, Edin earned 45.000 world rankings points. Edin move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 40 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 276.524 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
