Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) won 4-3 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Humpty's Champions Cup, held April 26 - May 1, 2016 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Carruthers won 4-3 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2016 Humpty's Champions Cup in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 4-3 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Humpty's Champions Cup in Edmonton, Alberta;
 
Carruthers finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carruthers defeated Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) 8-4, then won 7-3 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA) and 7-2 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Carruthers went on to lose 6-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Humpty's Champions Cup Championship title, Carruthers earned 75.191 world rankings points along with the $24,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 44.337 after improving upon their best so far this season. Carruthers ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 397.845 points earned so far this season.
