In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA) 8-2, then won 5-4 against Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE). Dunstone went on to lose 10-7 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Dunstone lost 7-5 to Yannick Schwaller (Berne, SUI) where Dunstone responded with a 12-2 win over Korea's Ki Jeong Lee. Dunstone won 9-1 against Tobias Thune (Dumfries, DEN), then won 10-2 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) and 4-3 against Bendik Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR). Dunstone won 6-4 against Alexander Eremin (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
Dunstone earned 14.172 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the World Junior Curling Championships. For week of the event schedule, Dunstone did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
