Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) qualified for the 2017 Westjet Players' Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI). of the 2017 Westjet Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario;

Scheidegger finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger lost 9-5 to Tirinzoni, then responded with a 8-6 win over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE). Scheidegger won 7-2 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON), then won 7-4 against Bingyu Wang (HARBIN, CHN). Scheidegger went on to lose 7-6 against Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Scheidegger earned 31.979 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westjet Players' Championship, remaining in 17th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 390.829 total points. Scheidegger ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 303.570 points earned so far this season.
