To advance to the championship game, Ontario's Sherry Middaugh won 4-3 over Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) in the semifinals of the 2016 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; and won 8-3 over Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario;
 
Ontario's Sherry Middaugh finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ontario's Sherry Middaugh defeated Ontario's Allison Flaxey 7-6, then went on to lose 6-2 against Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi-do, KOR). Ontario's Sherry Middaugh responded with a 6-5 win over Brenda Holloway (Guelph, ON). Ontario's Sherry Middaugh won 5-3 against Mallory Kean (Kitchener, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Ontario's Sherry Middaugh earned 33.457 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 210.719 total points. Ontario's Sherry Middaugh ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 56.930 points earned so far this season.
