Flaxey finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Flaxey defeated Marie-France Larouche (Levis, QC) 5-3, then won 7-5 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA). Flaxey went on to lose 4-2 against Cadorin. Flaxey lost 6-5 to Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
