Charley Thomas (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2016 Direct Horizontal Drilling Fall Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2016 Direct Horizontal Drilling Fall Classic in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;

Thomas finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomas defeated Kody Hartung (Saskatoon , SK) 9-5, then won 7-2 against SooHyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR). Thomas went on to lose 6-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Thomas responded with a 7-5 win over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
