Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Alyssa Despins (Saskatoon, SK) 10-9, then won 6-4 against Nancy Martin (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-4 against Brett Barber (Biggar, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Sask Viterra Women's Challenge Championship title, Barker earned 10.500 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Barker did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Barker ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
