Sean Geall (Kelowna, BC) qualified for the 2017 Ashley Home Store Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-1 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). of the 2017 Ashley Home Store Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada;

Geall finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) 6-3, then went on to lose 6-2 against Edin. Geall responded with a 9-1 win over Wylie Eden (Vernon, BC). Geall won 3-2 against Josh Heidt (Saskatoon, SK). Geall went on to lose 8-5 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

Geall earned 23.531 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ashley Home Store Curling Classic, moving up 31 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 58.854 total points. Geall ranks 78th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 25.613 points earned so far this season.
