Min Ji Kim (Gyeongido, KOR) lost 7-3 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the Final of the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic, held August 3 - 6, 2017 at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo, Japan.

Kim finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN) 7-2, then won 8-4 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Kim went on to lose 5-3 against Fujisawa in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic, Kim take home 14.953 world rankings points along with the $5,713CDN prize, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 50th place overall with 66.711 total points. Kim ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.953 points earned so far this season.
