Mark Homan (Ottawa, ON) run at the 2017 NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-0 loss to Chris Gardner (Buckingham, QC). of the 2017 NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel in Ottawa, Ontario; Homan advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-5 win over Northern Ontario's Jordan Chandler. of the 2017 NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel in Ottawa, Ontario;

Homan finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Northern Ontario's Jordan Chandler 10-3, then won 8-3 against Thomas Lo (Montreal, QC). Homan went on to lose 6-1 against Ontario's Susan Froud in their final qualifying round match.

Homan earned 8.669 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel, moving up 31 spots the World Ranking Standings into 125th place overall with 24.601 total points.
