Marcus Wolan (Trondheim, NOR) qualified for the 2018 Norwegian National Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Snaroen, NOR).

Wolan finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wolan lost 7-2 to Gjermund Troan (Hedmarken, NOR), then responded with a 6-4 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Oppdal, NOR). Wolan won 12-4 against William Mellbye (jar, NOR). Wolan went on to lose 9-8 against Bent Anund Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Wolan earned 2.047 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Norwegian National Championship, moving up 86 spots the World Ranking Standings into 428th place overall with 3.079 total points. Wolan ranks 356th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.540 points earned so far this season.
