McDonald went on to lose 8-4 against Steve Allen (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
McDonald earned 26.063 world rankings points for their Top 7 finish in the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, remaining in 21st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 9.251 after improving upon their best so far this season.
