Shelby Brandt/Grady LaMontagne (Regina, SK) finished 2-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brandt/LaMontagne defeated Christa Perepelitza/Rodney Ouellette (Cold Lake , AB) 7-5, then went on to lose 10-6 against Saskatchewan's Emma Wiens/Nathen Pomedli. Brandt/LaMontagne lost 6-5 to Kelsey Waker/Carl deConinck Smith (Gull Lake , SK) where Brandt/LaMontagne responded with a 7-4 win over Michelle Lang/Mark Lang (Saskatoon, SK). Brandt/LaMontagne went on to lose 9-1 against Saskatchewan's Emma Wiens/Nathen Pomedli in their final qualifying round match.
