Matt Dunstone (Regina, CAN) finished 5-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) 8-2, then won 6-3 against Xiu Yue Ma (Beijing, CHN). Dunstone went on to lose 5-4 against Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO). Dunstone responded with a 9-7 win over Walstad. Dunstone won 9-2 against Ma, then won 5-3 against Paterson in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling World Cup Jonkoping Championship title, Dunstone earned 54.580 world rankings points along with the $36,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 33.837 after improving upon their best so far this season. Dunstone ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 286.121 points earned so far this season.
