Callum Kinnear (Perth, SCO) finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kinnear lost 9-8 to Murray Young (Forfar, SCO), then responded with a 9-7 win over Robin Brydone (Perth, SCO). Kinnear won 11-6 against Ewan MacDonald (Inverness, SCO). Kinnear went on to lose 12-3 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Kinnear responded with a 7-5 win over Cameron McNay (Greenacres, SCO). Kinnear went on to lose 8-6 against Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO). Kinnear lost 8-6 to Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Kinnear earned 6.926 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Kinnear did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kinnear ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
