Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) lost 8-6 to Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, held February 16 - 24, 2019 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Homan won 9-7 over Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK) in the semifinals of the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Sydney, Nova Scotia;
 
Homan finished 8-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) 6-4, then won 12-4 against Jenine Bodner (Iqaluit, NU) and 6-3 against Jill Brothers (Halifax, NS). Homan won 12-2 against Gabrielle Lavoie (Quebec, QC). Homan went on to lose 6-5 against Tracy Fleury (East St. Paul, MB). Homan lost 6-3 to Carey where Homan responded with a 8-6 win over Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC). Homan won 9-2 against Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB), then won 9-6 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN) and 7-6 against Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI). Homan went on to lose 6-3 against Silvernagle in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Homan take home 55.490 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 15.192 after improving upon their best so far this season. Homan ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 528.902 points earned so far this season.
