In their opening game, Andrews lost 8-0 to Mark Olson (Milton, WI), then responded with a 8-4 win over Michael Erin (Gardner, KS). Andrews won 10-4 against Jerry Van Brunt (Colorado Springs, CO). Andrews went on to lose 6-4 against Ross Litman (Duluth, MN). Andrews lost 7-0 to Lyle Sieg (Blaine, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
