Steve Swoboda (Rice Lake, WI) finished 2-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Swoboda defeated Keith Stauber (Duluth, MN) 6-2, then went on to lose 6-3 against Paul Pustovar (Hibbing, MN). Swoboda responded with a 10-2 win over Lionel Locke (Minnetonka, MN). Swoboda went on to lose 8-3 against Craig Halliday (Denver, CO). Swoboda lost 7-5 to Jeff Erickson (Proctor, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Swoboda did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Swoboda ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
