In their opening game, Willsey lost 6-4 to Sam Mooibroek (Cambridge, AB), droppimg another game, 6-1 to Yusuke Morozumi (Nagano, JPN) where Willsey responded with a 9-3 win over Brandon Tippin (Elmvale, ON). Willsey went on to lose 7-1 against Tyler Stewart (Waterloo, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Willsey earned 1.347 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 9 of the event schedule, Willsey did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 26th to 27th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 137.684 total points.
