Kriss Vonda (Riga, LAT) qualified for the 2019 Latvia International Challenger playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-0 against Jermu Pollanen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). of the 2019 Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;

Vonda finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vonda defeated Mirac Ozkan (Eruzurum, TUR) 7-4, then went on to lose 11-5 against Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST). Vonda responded with a 7-3 win over Kirill Surovov (Dmitrov, RUS). Vonda went on to lose 9-5 against Lucien Lottenbach (Zug, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Vonda earned 5.380 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Latvia International Challenger, moving up 393 spots the World Ranking Standings into 292nd place overall with 5.380 total points.
