McCarville finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCarville defeated Lisa Davies (Montreal, QC) 7-1, then won 7-2 against Kira Brunton (Sudbury, NONT). McCarville went on to lose 6-4 against Wrana. McCarville responded with a 9-3 win over Danielle Inglis (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
