In their opening game, Whyte defeated Stefan Signer (Bern, SUI) 12-2, then won 6-2 against Luca Rizzolli (Cembra, ITA) and 7-2 against Lucien Lottenbach (Zug, SUI) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 10-5 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge, Whyte take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $4,646CDN prize. Whyte move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 15.077 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 28th overall with 136.794 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
