Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) won 6-2 over Lucien Lottenbach (Zug, SUI) in the Final of the Dumfries Challenger Series, held December 12 - 15, 2019 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Whyte won 6-4 over Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2019 Dumfries Challenger Series in Dumfries, Scotland, Scotland; and won 6-4 over Simon Gempeler (Adelboden, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Dumfries Challenger Series in Dumfries, Scotland, Scotland;
 
Whyte finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO) 7-3, then won 9-1 against Graham Sloan (Dumfries, SCO) and 7-1 against Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). Whyte won 5-1 against Gempeler in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Dumfries Challenger Series Championship title, Whyte earned 23.298 world rankings points along with the $7,002CDN first prize cheque. Whyte move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 16.376 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 22nd overall with 212.525 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
