In their opening game, Jones lost 10-4 to Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 5-4 win over Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK). Jones won 8-7 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK), then won 8-0 against Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK) and 8-6 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Jones won 8-4 against Skrlik in their final qualifying round match.
