To advance to the championship game, Peterman/Gallant won 1-0 over Johanna Heldin/Kristian Lindstroem (Stockholm, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2019 China Open Mixed Doubles in Hebei, China; and won 9-3 over Angela Romei/Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 China Open Mixed Doubles in Hebei, China;
Peterman/Gallant finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterman/Gallant defeated Hyeji Jang/Yujin Seong (Uiseong, KOR) 9-6, then went on to lose 10-7 against Marie Turmann/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST). Peterman/Gallant lost 5-4 to Heldin/Lindstroem where Peterman/Gallant responded with a 12-9 win over Dorottya Palancsa/Zsolt Kiss (Budapest, HUN).
