Marlene Albrecht/Matt Wozniak (Zurich, SUI) lost 6-5 to Jolene Campbell/Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) in the Final of the Highland Mixed Doubles Classic, held February 14 - 16, 2020 at the Highland Curling Club in Regina, . To advance to the championship game, Albrecht/Wozniak won 8-4 over Dorottya Palancsa/Zsolt Kiss (Budapest, HUN) in the semifinals of the 2020 Highland Mixed Doubles Classic in Regina; and won 8-6 over Sherry Just/Ryan Deis (Prince Albert, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2020 Highland Mixed Doubles Classic in Regina;
Albrecht/Wozniak finished 4-1 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Albrecht/Wozniak defeated Ying Yang/Zhi Ling (Beijing, CHN) 9-3, then won 7-4 against Saskatchewan's Danielle Schmiemann/Jason Ginter. Albrecht/Wozniak went on to lose 10-6 against Just/Deis. Albrecht/Wozniak responded with a 7-1 win over Cheng Yu Sun/Wen Xin Zhang (Beijing, CHN). Albrecht/Wozniak won 6-4 against Brittany Tran/Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Highland Mixed Doubles Classic, Albrecht/Wozniak take home 28.867 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 10.454 after improving upon their best so far this season. Albrecht/Wozniak ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 120.036 points earned so far this season.
