In their opening game, Klimpke lost 6-2 to Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 8-0 win over Brooks Freeman (Manitoba). Klimpke went on to lose 6-1 against Jordon Johnson (Winnipeg, MB). Klimpke responded with a 6-5 win over Matt Bijil (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
