Owen Purdy (Kingston, ON) finished 5-4 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Purdy lost 4-3 to Hayato Sato (New Westminster, BC), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Purdy lost 10-8 to Daniel Bruce (St. John's, NL) where Purdy responded with a 8-5 win over Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB). Purdy went on to lose 7-3 against Johnson Tao (Richmond, BC). Purdy responded with a 8-2 win over Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT). Purdy won 9-3 against Liam Marin (Saint John, NB), then won 9-5 against Jacob Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) and 10-8 against Greg Cheal (Lennoxville, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Purdy earned 5.726 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Purdy did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Purdy ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
