Steffen R. Mellemseter (Oppdal, NOR) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mellemseter defeated Eirik Oy (Trondheim, NOR) 7-1, then went on to lose 12-4 against Tobias Linneberg (Hedmarken, NOR). Mellemseter responded with a 10-5 win over Johan Hostmaelingen (Lillehammer, NOR). Mellemseter went on to lose 4-3 against Evan Ugland (Christiansand, NOR). Mellemseter lost 8-7 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oppdal, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Mellemseter earned 2.244 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 33 of the event schedule, Mellemseter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
