Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-2 over Thomas McGillivray (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Showdown, held November 24 - 26 at the East St. Paul Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McDonald won 5-1 over Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the MCT Showdown in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;

McDonald finished 4-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McDonald defeated Devon Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) 5-4, then won 5-4 against Richard Muntain (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-5 against Smith. McDonald won 7-2 against Cyrus Brandt (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the MCT Showdown Championship title, McDonald earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. McDonald move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 5.25 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 63rd overall with 60.312 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McDonald ranks 54th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.875 points earned so far this season.
