Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC) won 11-8 over Paul Cseke (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the BC Mens Curling Championship, held January 4 - 9, 2022 in Kamloops, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Richard won 7-5 over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the semifinals of the 2022 BC Mens Curling Championship in Kamloops, British Columbia;
Richard finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Richard defeated Josh Kennelly (Salmon Arm, BC) 8-6, then won 7-1 against Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC) and 9-2 against Sebastien Robillard (New Westminster, BC). Richard went on to lose 8-2 against Cseke. Richard responded with a 7-6 win over Cotter in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Mens Curling Championship Championship title, Richard earned 18.375 world rankings points. Richard move up 33 spots after posting a net gain of 8.206 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 71st overall with 49.314 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Richard ranks 77th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.146 points earned so far this season.
