Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) lost 10-3 to Eve Muirhead (Stirling, UK) in the Final of the Winter Olympics, held February 4 - 20, 2022 in Beijing, China. To advance to the championship game, Fujisawa won 8-6 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the semifinals

Fujisawa finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa lost 8-5 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE), then responded with a 8-5 win over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN). Fujisawa won 8-7 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN), then won 10-5 against Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) and 10-2 against Yu Han (Beijing, CHN). Fujisawa went on to lose 10-5 against Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR). Fujisawa lost 10-4 to Muirhead where Fujisawa responded with a 10-7 win over Tabitha Peterson (St. Paul, USA). Fujisawa went on to lose 8-4 against Tirinzoni in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Winter Olympics, Fujisawa take home 95.185 world rankings points. Fujisawa move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 90.769 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 351.760 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Fujisawa ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 266.042 points earned so far this season.
