Schwaller won 7-5 against Owen Purcell (Upper Tantallon, CAN), then won 11-3 against William Becker (Naseby, NZL). Schwaller went on to lose 9-1 against Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER). Schwaller responded with a 9-3 win over JaeBeom Lee (Gyeongsan, KOR). Schwaller went on to lose 8-5 against James Craik (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Schwaller earned 7.642 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 101st place overall with 32.284 total points. Schwaller ranks 101st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 32.284 points earned so far this season.
