Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, CAN) finished 4-0 in the 3-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Marcelo Mello (Sao Paolo, BRA) 11-2, then won 14-1 against Jesus Barajas (Mexico City, MEX) and 10-1 against Mello. Bottcher won 11-1 against Barajas in their final qualifying round match.
