Dylan Niepage (Guelph, ON) finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Niepage defeated Scott Dow (Sarnia, ON) 5-4, then won 5-4 against Mark Kean (Toronto, ON) and 4-2 against Sam Mooibroek (Kitchener, ON). Niepage went on to lose 5-2 against Jason Camm (Navan, ON). Niepage responded with a 7-5 win over Wayne Tuck Jr. (Collingwood, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the CurlON Men's Cash Spiel #1 Championship title, Niepage earned 19.798 world rankings points along with the $2,150CDN first prize cheque, moving up 225 spots the World Ranking Standings into 160th place overall with 20.808 total points. Niepage ranks 119th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.798 points earned so far this season.
