Geall finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall lost 7-4 to Sebastien Robillard (Port Coquitlam, BC), then responded with a 9-8 win over de Jong. Geall won 7-6 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) in their final qualifying round match.
