Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) lost 5-3 to Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the Baden Masters, held August 19 - 21, 2022 at the Curling Center Baden Regio in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Gosgens won 9-6 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2022 Baden Masters in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland; and won 7-4 over Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
 
Gosgens finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens defeated Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) 7-6, then won 6-3 against Switzerland's Jan Iseli and 8-7 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Gosgens went on to lose 5-2 against Schwaller in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Baden Masters, Gosgens take home 38.500 world rankings points along with the $10,813CDN prize, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 20th place overall with 101.845 total points. Gosgens ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.500 points earned so far this season.
