Whyte finished 4-0 in the 20 team Baden Masters qualifying round, held August 19 - 21 at the Curling Center Baden Regio in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland. In their opening game, Whyte defeated Manuel Jermann (Arlesheim, SUI) 11-1, then won 8-4 against Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) and 5-4 against Sixten Totzek (Baden Baden, GER). Whyte won 8-2 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
