John Epping (Toronto, ON) won 7-4 over Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) in the Final of the Challenge de Curling Desjardins, held November 24 - 27, 2022 in Clermont, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Epping won 6-4 over Francois Roberge (Levis, QC) in the semifinals of the 2022 Challenge de Curling Desjardins in Clermont, Quebec; and won 10-8 over Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Epping finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Dominique Jean (Montreal, QC) 7-3, then won 7-3 against Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS) and 7-2 against Travis Colter (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge de Curling Desjardins Championship title, Epping earned 26.250 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque. Epping move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 11.25 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 182.922 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Epping ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 101.125 points earned so far this season.
