Ibragimov/Zhumabek lost 6-5 to Uzbekistan's Ondasyn Artikbaev/Tilsimay Alliyarova where Ibragimov/Zhumabek responded with a 9-5 win over Yekaterina Kolykhalova/Arman Irjanov (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.

Ibragimov/Zhumabek earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
