Emily Deschenes (Chester, NS) run at the 2022 U25 NextGen Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Skylar Ackerman (Saskatoon, SK).

Deschenes finished 3-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deschenes lost 6-4 to Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC), then responded with a 7-2 win over Maddy Warriner (Dundas, ON). Deschenes won 8-7 against Ackerman. Deschenes went on to lose 9-3 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Waterloo, ON). Deschenes responded with a 6-5 win over Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For week 5 of the event schedule, Deschenes did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 102nd to 103rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 15.558 total points.
