Walker/Muyres finished 4-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker/Muyres defeated Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Lennoxville, QC) 10-3, then went on to lose 9-8 against Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Barrie, ON). Walker/Muyres responded with a 8-6 win over Nancy Martin/Tyrel Griffith (Saskatoon, SK) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 8-7 against Jones/Laing to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
