Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS) lost 6-0 to Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the Superstore Monctonian Challenge, held December 9 - 11, 2022 in Moncton, New Brunswick. To advance to the championship game, Thompson won 7-2 over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick; and won 7-3 over Bryce Everist (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick;

Thompson finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Jason Roach (Fredericton, NB) 9-5, then won 8-5 against Dan Crouse (Saint John, NB) and 7-4 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Thompson won 5-3 against Mitchell Schut (Cornwall, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Superstore Monctonian Challenge, Thompson take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize. For week 19 of the event schedule, Thompson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thompson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
