In their opening game, Cotter lost 10-7 to Matthew McCrady (New Westminster , BC), then responded with a 9-4 win over Adam Fenton (New Westminster, BC). Cotter won 6-2 against Trevor Ritchie (Vancouver, BC). Cotter went on to lose 9-6 against Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC). Cotter responded with a 11-6 win over McCrady in their final qualifying round match.
