Kyle McCannell (Pilot Mound, MB) finished 1-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCannell lost 10-7 to Grant Shewfelt (Baldur, MB), then responded with a 10-3 win over Dean North (Carman, MB). McCannell went on to lose 11-9 against Anthony Friesen (Pilot Mound, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

McCannell earned 0.188 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 20 of the event schedule, McCannell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
