In their opening game, MacDiarmid lost 9-5 to Marlee Powers (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 8-5 win over Jennifer Crouse (Halifax, NS). MacDiarmid won 8-5 against Jessica Daigle (Halifax, NS), then won 10-5 against Tanya Hilliard (Dartmouth, NS). MacDiarmid went on to lose 7-5 against Christina Black (Halifax, NS). MacDiarmid lost 8-7 to Powers in their final qualifying round match.

MacDiarmid earned 2.813 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, MacDiarmid did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacDiarmid ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
